Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard

Pencil

iAnnotate 4 features automatic Apple Pencil detection, for the fastest possible annotation experience. With the Pencil there's no need to tap a tool, just draw on the screen to start writing on your PDFs! You can still pinch-to-zoom and otherwise move around the PDF.

If no tool is selected, an Apple Pencil tool will appear and allow you to annotate, change colors, thickness, etc. You can also scroll with your finger while in this mode, making it convenient to read/mark up a longer document.

If a tool is selected manually, before the tool activates, the Pencil will be used as a capacitive stylus with palm rejection, but one-finger scrolling will not work.

Turn off Apple Pencil

As of iAnnotate 4.0.1, we had added the ability to turn off auto-ink for the pen.
You can find that in Settings -> Annotation

Smart Keyboard

You can use keyboard shortcuts from your Smart Keyboard to speed up your PDF reading. Switch tabs, navigate your PDFs, open the library and more. Just hold down on the 'command' button to see a list of available options.
